LIFE-MED 2011, the reference event in the Mediterannean area dedicated to Life Sciences, took place from 5 to7 October at fieramilanocity, together with CHEM-MED 2011,under very positive conditions: 250 exhibitors from 21 countries over an exhibition area of 8,000 square meters; 10,250 qualified visitors and 30 conference sessions with 820 participants.
The Life Sciences conference was very successful, also confirmed by the optimum state of its represented sectors: NUCE INTERNATIONAL, the event dedicated to the industries of nutraceutics, cosmeceutics, functional foods & drinks and health ingredients; BIOTECH, the international exhitibion on biotechnologies, and ALGAE EUROPE, conference dedicated to the production technologies and industrial applications of algae.
The event was an opportunity for business and professional updates, as it dealt with themes such as the potential of biosimilars, diagnostics and imaging, industrial applications of biotechnology, bioengineering, the novelties of nutraceutical research, state-of-the-art technologies for agriculture, and new photobioreactors.
The next edition of LIFE-MED, which will once again be held at fieramilanocity, is from 25 to 27 September 2012. The event will take place together with FOOD-ING 2012, the new international exhibition and conference on food and beverage ingredients.
